Trend Micro Office Scan - Virus Scanning Instructions
There are several harmful viruses circulating through email and the Internet. Our campus anti-virus software, Trend Office Scan, is updated frequently and will detect viruses when they are attached to e-mail messages, web sites or on floppy or zip disks. Remember, the anti-virus software on your computer gets updated each time you log in so you should make a habit of restarting and logging in at least once a day. However, your PC is not automatically scanned for viruses, so you should run these instructions manually once every 1-2 weeks*, more often if you share files a lot. * These steps do not need to be performed on the hard drives of student lab PCs, however it should be run on floppy, zip and flash disks.
Since many viruses infect your temporary internet files, please run disk cleanup before starting a scan. This will delete these temporary internet files.
