Using the Panasonic Projector
in Neff Teaching Labs or with LRC Setup
Operation
- Be sure to follow Powering On and Powering Off sequences carefully to avoid damage to the projector.
- Display

- LRC projectors have several display modes, most of which are not used with the PC. If you find that the projector is displaying a blue screen, check to see if the projector is powered on. If so, press either the RGB button (for projectors with a remote) or the COMP button (for projectors with a desk-mounted control unit) to cycle to the RGB1 display option.
- Additionally, Neff teaching lab and LRC projectors are preset to the proper screen resolution (800 x 600) for best display quality. However, if the projector either displays a blue screen or a split screen, the resolution may be incorrect. To reset the resolution to 800 x 600, restart and refresh the PC.
- Safety
- The projector must remain on a solid, level surface.
- Keep the top of the projector clear of all objects.
- Keep the air outlet unobstructed.
Remote Control
- Point the remote toward the projector while pressing the red power button.
- Allow the projector to warm up and watch the lens for a flicker of light to make sure the unit is powered on.
- Power Off: Point the remote toward the projector and press once. You will see a screen prompt with Power off, ok/cancel. Press the power button once more to answer “yes”..
Manual Control
- Press the Power button ONCE and WAIT at least five seconds to see if the light comes on.
- Power-Off: Requires the power button to be pressed twice.
Precautions:
No Image on Projection Screen:
- If the projector is powered on, the lamp will be glowing and the fan will be humming.
- If the monitor is in sleep mode, nothing displays on the projection screen.
- Move the mouse or press “Enter” and wait a few moments for the monitor to awake.
Accidental Projector Power-off:
- If you accidentally power-off the projector the cooling fan will cycle on.
- You will need to wait for the projector to go through cool-down before pressing power-on again.
