Setting A Second Identity
Creating identities is a way to collect e-mail from more than one mail server. For example, you may have a Yahoo e-mail account as well as an IPFW e-mail account. If you create an identity for each, you will see only the mail and contacts associated with each when you log on under that unique identity. Once your identity is created, you can organize your contacts the way you want them by creating subfolders.
To add a new identity
- From the File menu, point to Identities, and click Add New Identity.
- Input your name and the location such as John B. Good at IPFW.
- If you want to set a password for this identity, select the require a password option. Normally it is not necessary to set the password option.
- Outlook Express will ask if you want to log on as the new user. Answer yes, to continue the property settings
- Once you switch to the new identity, follow the directions above to set up the POP3 properties.
