myIPFW - My Files
Accessing your Network Storage Space
- Log into myIPFW
- Click the My Files button to access your files.
- The drives (folders) you have access to will be listed in the Files list on the left.
- About your drives:
- Home for faculty/staff is your personal network storage area (I Drive).
- Home for students is also your personal network storage area (I Drive) with the exception of the special folder inside called web. The web folder is a student's personal web space.
- The O drive for students allows access to the LABS directory where faculty may store files pertaining to their classes.
- The O and P drives for faculty and staff correspond to your O and P drives in your office.
- Click the plus sign next to each folder to navigate through the folder list.
- Click the name of the folder to see a list of files in that folder.
Students, faculty and staff all have access to drive space on the IPFW network. myIPFW provides a method for accessing these files from any location.


Downloading Files
- To download a file, log into myIPFW and click the My Files button.
- Open the folder the file is in and right-click the icon to the left of the file name.
- Select Save Target As or Save Link As.
- Depending on the browser you are using, you will be prompted to choose the location to save the file or it may just download the file to a predetermined location.
- Note: You will need software on your computer to be able to open, edit and save the document.
You cannot edit files inside myIPFW. You must download the file, edit it on your PC and then upload the file back to your network drive space.
Uploading Files
- To upload a file, log into myIPFW and click the My Files button.
- Click the folder you want the file in and click the Upload button.
- The Upload Files dialog box appears. Click Browse. It is possible to upload up to 5 files at one time.
- Browse to the file on your PC and double-click it.
- Remember that uploading a file with the same name as an existing network file will overwrite the network file. If you are certain that you want to overwrite the file that exists on the network, Click the Upload button.
- myIPFW uploads the file and replaces the existing network file with the edited version. You can close the File Upload Status box after Done appears.
