myIPFW - My Files

Accessing your Network Storage Space

    Students, faculty and staff all have access to drive space on the IPFW network. myIPFW provides a method for accessing these files from any location.

  1. Log into myIPFW
  2. Click the My Files button to access your files.

  4. The drives (folders) you have access to will be listed in the Files list on the left.

  6. About your drives:
    • Home for faculty/staff is your personal network storage area (I Drive).
    • Home for students is also your personal network storage area (I Drive) with the exception of the special folder inside called web. The web folder is a student's personal web space.
    • The O drive for students allows access to the LABS directory where faculty may store files pertaining to their classes.
    • The O and P drives for faculty and staff correspond to your O and P drives in your office.
  7. Click the plus sign next to each folder to navigate through the folder list.
  8. Click the name of the folder to see a list of files in that folder.


Downloading Files

    You cannot edit files inside myIPFW. You must download the file, edit it on your PC and then upload the file back to your network drive space.

  1. To download a file, log into myIPFW and click the My Files button.
  2. Open the folder the file is in and right-click the icon to the left of the file name.
  3. Select Save Target As or Save Link As.
  4. Depending on the browser you are using, you will be prompted to choose the location to save the file or it may just download the file to a predetermined location.
  5. Note: You will need software on your computer to be able to open, edit and save the document.
