Monitor Troubleshooting
Problem: No display
Possible Solutions:
- If the monitor power light is off
- Power the monitor on.
- Check the power cable at both ends.
- Make sure your power strip is turned on.
- Try plugging the monitor into a different outlet.
- If the monitor power light is amber:
- Check to see if the PC is on.
- Check the cable connection from the monitor to the PC.
- If the monitor power light is green:
- Adjust contrast and brightness.
- Power monitor off, then on.
- Check the cable connection from the monitor to the PC.
- Reboot the PC, power monitor off, then on.
Problem: Incorrect Colors
Possible Solutions:
- Adjust monitor's color settings.
- Tighten connector on back of monitor, trace it down to the PC and tighten it there.
Problem: Display is Dim
Possible Solutions:
- Adjust the monitor's brightness and contrast settings.
- Tighten connector on back of monitor, trace it down to the PC and tighten it there.
Problem: Display wiggles, flickers or jumps
Possible Solutions:
- Check for a radio, fan, heater, etc. anywhere near the monitor. If there is, move it. If the monitor is under a counter with a light on it, turn the light off or move the monitor away from it.
- The refresh rate can be increased. Be sure to take note of the original rate in case you need to set it back.
Problem: Part of picture is cut off
Possible Solution:
- Adjust your picture settings to move the display left, right, up and down.
Problem: Display is scruched horizontally or vertically
Possible Solution:
- Adjust the monitor's horizontal & vertical size and positioning settings.
