Keyboard Troubleshooting

Problem: Stuck Keys

Possible Solutions:

  • Make sure nothing is sitting on the keyboard
  • Power the PC off and tap each key a few times
  • Check to see if any keys appear to be loose
  • If the problem is severe, it may be easiest to purchase a new keyboard

Problem: Letters on screen do not match what you typed

Possible Solutions:

  • If you have a programmable keyboard, turn off Num Lock, Caps Lock, and Scroll Lock. Then, press: Ctrl + Alt + Suspend Macro (all three keys at the same time). Suspend Macro appears near the Num Lock key.
