Official Retiree & Emeritus Faculty Accounts.

  • BEFORE you transition to Emeritus/Retiree read this information and then complete the request form. You will be contacted by Pam Zepp in the User Technology Support Group of ITS who can answer your questions and assist you with e-mail archives and network storage.

  • User name - In order to preserve your existing e-mail address & username. You must apply for your Emeritus/Retiree account BEFORE terminating university employment. Otherwise, the username will be assigned using the current username algorithm.

  • Expiration - The accounts will be issued with an expiration of July 1 of each year and must be renewed by the retiree in order to remain active. You should receive an e-mail from ITS some time during June of each year. To maintain your e-mail account, you only need to reply to the message with the subject line, "keep my account". If you are retiring at the end of Spring semester and have just made the transition to Official Retiree/Emeritus, you will not be contacted until next year.

  • E-Mail & Archives - You will need to set aside time to remove (by printing, copying to disk, or forwarding to another email address) all archived items from your office computer that you wish to keep.

  • System - Your Emeritus/Retiree e-mail account will be provided on the same e-mail system that is available for faculty/staff.

  • Network Rights - The Network Login ID does not automatically grant the holder continued access to network software or Helmke Library databases. Special arrangements will need to be made if the retiree requires use of networked software from a campus office.
