
ITS Workstation
Loan Policy
Guidelines:
- Loaner Workstation is available when:
- Critical department production workstation is down for repairs
- Repairs are expected to take more than 48 hours
- No other department workstation is available to compensate
- Department is in a critical business cycle
- Borrower is responsible for any damage to or loss of equipment.
- Privileges to borrow loaner equipment may be revoked or suspended due to the following:
- Repeatedly returning equipment late
- Returning equipment that is damaged or incomplete
- Use of Workstation
- Workstation can be borrowed for a maximum of 2 weeks
- Workstation will have MS Office, Banner and Internet Explorer installed
- Email can be accessed via my.ipfw or webmail.ipfw.edu
- Borrower will authenticate to the network to use the workstation
- Borrower should save files only to their I: or O: drive
- Any files saved to the C: drive will be deleted by ITS in the cleanup process
- Request to borrow equipment must be authorized by department's Vice Chancellor, Dean, Director, or Chair. Request can be made to ITS Help desk via phone 16030 or email helpdesk@ipfw.edu
