This page serves to outline pending and recently completed changes to the computing environment for students working with the IT Services supported student-access lab workstations, floating/fixed classroom workstations, and/or workstations in the dedicated multi-station classrooms (hereafter referred to collectively as supported stations).

- Browser plug-in for viewing multimedia content

- 3D graphics application

- Advanced chemical drawing tool
- Added version 22 installer.

- Allows professors to design and administer interactive assessments in the classroom

- A mathematics program for scientific and technical computing

Microsoft Windows Vista
- A trend within higher education indicates that many customers (not all) have experienced problems with general deployment of this operating system without upgrades to hardware and software components.
- We anticipate the operating system upgrade to Student access labs will occur between Summer II and Fall 2009.

- Available for students at the ADA station in each lab from: Student Access Labs > Adaptive
- A tiered assistive reading, writing and learning medium, aimed at students with learning disabilities or other disabilities that make reading or writing difficult

- Provides instruction on psychiatric disorders to nursing students

Adobe Presenter 6- A PowerPoint plug‐in that allows the creation of flash‐based multimedia slide‐shows
- Available for students to install from:Student Access Labs > Internet > Installs. Once the application has been installed, it will be available as a tab in PowerPoint 2007 or as a menu item in PowerPoint 2003.

Changes to the environment are mandated by:
- Support issues (i.e., a software product or hardware component is no longer supported by the source company),
- Faculty requests for software upgrades in support of their course work,
- Bugs or other problems that must be corrected,
- Expiration of warranties on hardware, and
- Our desire to provide the most current software and hardware possible.
